Why Divers are Different

On a recent dive down in Deerfield Beach, Florida, it all of a sudden struck me as to why scuba divers are different. We all have land lives and we all carry that persona around with us on land. But once we enter the ocean we all become divers.

Divers all look pretty much the same underwater. We all share the joy and excitement of our second world. We are all there subconsciously or consciously checking to make sure the pod that we dropped in with are all okay. And we all have are separate underwater personas that is so very different from the one we carry on land.

At the beginning of May we dove on the Union Express. I video taped it and embedded it into this post. If you look close enough you may see the transformation from terrestrial being to oceanic explorer.
